Tiny little peanut | Melbourne newborn photography

She  may have been less than 5lb when she was born, but I swear this little girl’s heart makes up all of that. One of the tiniest little newborns I have ever had the blessing to photograph. As seems to be the trend with my babies of late, this little peanut arrived over three weeks early, although I have to say I don’t think her mumma was in the least bit surprised that she did arrive ahead of schedule. Even in our conversations in the lead up to her birth day, she hinted at the fact that she had a feeling she wouldn’t get to 40 weeks, and she was right. Mother’s intuition can be an amazing thing sometimes. I also had three generations of girls in my studio today with her grandmother also coming along to enjoy the session – I adore it when families are so excited like that to produce some amazing images of their little ones.

Of course, with early arrivals comes gorgeous sleepy babes (and she was one of my sleepiest to date). Her parents told me she had never slept for so long or so well than she did for me today. Bless her little cotton socks, how lucky am I that she was so comfortable with me as to enjoy her session for so long.

“Do you also run daycare?!” said her papa. Don’t tempt me… I would have kept her if I was allowed!

Meet baby Zara… (oh, and is that not one of the best baby girl names in the world? All of my clients have such amazing taste!)
