Happy Mother’s Day | Melbourne newborn photographer

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mothers,
mothers-in-waiting,
those who long to be mothers, and
those who were & always will be mothers.

Apples and Pears | Melbourne baby photography

A dainty little pear.
A sweet songbird.
The apple of her mama’s eye.

One Thursday | Baby photography, Melbourne

I can still hear her giggles in the air.
They linger, gently, like the scent of a beautiful perfume long after the wearer has left the room.
Cheeky, yes – but powerfully decisive and strong.
What an amazing young lady she is, and will become.

Sensibility | Newborn photographer, Melbourne

Love.
It’s a place where two people meet; often for the first time.
The depth of care is an extraordinary thing.
A sense of awkwardness, of vulnerability, of compassion.
Like a first kiss can electrify the senses, so too can a pure connective moment to the soul.
The magnificence of love.
I am humbled by it.
I document it.
I am thankful.

A lovely day | Melbourne newborn photography

A lovely session.
A quiet session.
Many cuddles, yawns, stretches and trust were shared.
What beauty there was for me to feast upon.
She; such a magnificent gift to this world.

The Beautiful | Newborn photography, Melbourne

Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.
- R.W. Emerson

The sweet sound | Baby photographer, Melbourne

Of joy…

Oh dear friends, I promise I am still here!
I have had the good fortune of meeting so very many new, beautiful and amazing little people over the last couple of months.
I absolutely promise to share some of that beauty with you very soon.
In the meantime, embrace your joy.
Laugh. Loudly.

…to my heartsong.
Feel it.
Find it.
Own it, and believe you are worthy of the infinite.

The Reach | Melbourne baby photographer

Out of all of the images I captured of her this day, this was my favourite.
A pure and authentic representation of a stage that has probably since already passed.
Fingers creeping, desperately inching their way towards the object of her affection with almost caterpillar-like control.
The mouth opens, the eyes remain fixed.
In that moment, just before she learned to reach far enough to complete her quest, she was fiercely dependent.
These genuine times are ones I treasure most.
