He smiled, he laughed, he cried, he giggled, he dreamed, he ate, he loved… and I loved him back!
Pure, sweet and gorgeous he was – can’t you just smell the babyness on him?!

{Caitlin, he is divine and what a lovely way to spend a morning with you all capturing a beautiful moment in your lives. I simply can’t wait to show you the rest!}
When this little gem first arrived to her session, she was not a happy chappy. Her mum told me that she had been crying most of the way over instead of sleeping as she should have been (isn’t it always the way?). Her little cheeks were so red and her beautiful eyes all puffy – so the first thing I suggested was to let her have a nap!
She is the most feisty and headstrong little thing and watching her fight going to sleep was entertainment enough for me. Of course, it also means gorgeous photo opportunities as well (it’s no secret I adore sleeping babies) and also meant that poor red face was gorgeously peachy again after she woke. We had so much fun playing with her – watching her obsession with paper too had me in stitches. Loved her.

{Emily, she was a gem – loved her feisty little nature and getting to know her. Wish we could have played all day!}
As you can see by the first image, it’s tiring work being a supermodel. Sometimes as much as they want to perform for me in front of the camera, those sandman eyes get the better of them. Lucky for me it was at the end of our session anyway, but this little Harry Monster was such a trooper.
The best part about Harry was the giant smile that came across his face every time he fell over after trying to sit up for a period of time. Most kids would panic as they toppled over but not Harry – it was like a great old game for him! The cheeky grin that he would give as you picked him up would seriously melt your heart. Such a treasure he is!

{So, so lovely to see you again Melinda – you should be so super proud of this little being you have brought into the world. It was such a great pleasure to spend the morning playing with you both – big hugs to Monty!}

Ok, ok, ok…. so I KNOW each session I finish thinking I get to photograph the best looking kids on the planet… but COME ONE!!! Take one look at little Leah and tell me she isn’t just the icing on the cake? As a baby photographer, I may be biased as I think every kid I photograph is pretty darn cute but I did have to excuse myself in front of Leah’s parents for using the phrase “I want to eat you all up” too much in conjunction with a lot of blowing raspberries on her toes. How could you not though?
Urgh…. if you can buy one of these babies somewhere… give me an order for 10!

{Meaghan – one word…. DIVINE! So so happy after her session, and waiting for her to fall asleep (albeit only for 2 mins) was so worth it!}
I have had so many gorgeous babies in my studio of late… and this little man was no exception.
The first thing I wanted to do when I met him was ruffle that gorgeous mop of hair on his head. Don’t you just love it?! He had such a gorgeous little personality. He’s not on the move yet, but boy it won’t be long. Those legs were getting a major workout. Just love, love, love this age!

{So glad we got to capture him when we did Lisa! Such a fun morning with you!}
I have been a fan of the beautiful products of Little House for such a long time now, so I was so happy to be asked to photograph some of the new range for them. Mia has a beautiful woollen blanket from Little House (Jack) that I just adore, and seeing all of the new exciting things that are on offer made me drool just a little bit more.

Do they get any more precious than this?! At one of my absolute favourite ages, 8 month old Alannah was an absolute superstar and a half for me at her session. We had some good bonding time to warm up to begin with (aka lots of play and tickles) and as soon as we found her button to get her going, there was no stopping her!
I love it when clients allow me to take the lead with clothing choices and positioning – my motto is always, SIMPLE IS BEST! You can never go wrong with simple, and this gorgeous thing stole the show anyway so it wouldn’t have mattered in the slightest what we had her dressed in.
Adored every single connecting moment with her – her smile gives me warm hugs from the inside out!

{Give Alannah a big smooshy cuddle from me guys! I will be in touch!}
Meet Caleb – green eyes, green shirt, green wall… does it get any better?!

Yep, that’s baby bro Noah… delish!! He had this adorable comfort habit of putting these two fingers into his mouth (rock on dude!!) and then gaze up at me with the most adorable baby blues complete with long black lashes (both of the boys had lashes most girls would kill for – seriously). Such a happy little thing he was too – such a joy connecting with these beautiful souls!
{What a beautiful morning with your gorgeous boys Paula. Such a treat for me – hugs for Noah and thank Caleb for being such a wonderful helper!}
Today was my gorgeous, beautiful, darling Mia’s second birthday.
She is my joy, my sunshine, my life. She is my reason for living and the reason I do what I do.
She makes me smile every day and she knows how to push my buttons, as well as laugh like there is no tomorrow. She knows me better than I ever thought a 2 year old could, and every day surprises me with her beautiful, soft and gentle nature that is a trademark of hers. She absolutely hates it when I sing to her (pity, since anyone that knows me knows I love to sing), loves reading books, cherishes 3:30pm when Hi-5 comes on for the afternoon, loves cuddling by tucking her arms and legs underneath her like a little ball, loves it when I take photos of her just so that she can come and sit with me to have a look at the LCD on the back of the camera, has taken an immense liking to blowing out candles on her birthday cake, hates it when we ask her to close the fridge when she hasn’t finished inspecting everything in there for the 50th time that day, loves jumping into bed to wake up daddy, is obsessed with her stacking cups from Ikea, changes her mind daily on what food she loves or loathes, loves wearing dresses and hates when I don’t let her play/eat the glue sticks that sit in the top drawer of my office.
My princess is obsessed with slides at the moment. Our daily trip to the park turns into a nightmare when trying to get her home as she refuses to leave without a tantrum. We made the quick decision therefore to get a mini playset complete with a slide (or “siiiiiiiide”, as Mia calls it) for her birthday for home. Of course, now that she knows that the slide can flip over to form stairs on the other side, every time she goes up or down she demands that we change it over from one to the other so she can have the best of both worlds at the same time. I am hoping this is only a passing fad for her and she will forget about it by tomorrow…I know, wishful thinking!
Happy 2nd birthday princess
xx
