{Photo-a-Day Project: A personal project that I undertake every January for an entire month taking one photo a day of my children.}

Day 21: I feel like I’m having a bad case of déjà vu with this project. Charlie is going through a horrid catnapping stage during the day and it’s driving me a bit insane. It doesn’t help that the both Charlie and Mia are now sharing a room together as of a few days ago. Mia loves it – she thinks it’s a party when Charlie goes to bed. They sit there and talk to each other through the rails of Charlie’s cot, and I have to admit, it melts your heart a bit hearing them giggling at each other.
They often do the same thing in the car at the moment. Charlie will look over at Mia with a massive grin on his face, and Mia will giggle at him, which in turn makes me laugh. It is amazing how something like that can bring you so much joy. Something like a cheeky giggle can be so small and simple, but just mean so much.
This was how I found Charlie when only 30 minutes after putting him to bed I heard lots of giggling and gurgling going on in the bedroom, and so decided to go in and check. Go on, tell me who could get mad at that?!

Day 22: Mia can’t get enough of daycare. It’s one of the few ways we can willingly get her into bed at night just by mentioning that the next morning she’ll be going there to visit. Her little eyes light up and sparkle. I never thought we’d get to this stage though. She’s such a mummy’s girl and so wary of strangers that I was worried when she first started how she would cope long term. Now, I barely get a wave goodbye as she runs in to play with the other kids, and trying to bring her home again usually involves some sort of bribery. Yep, she loves it!
One of her favourite parts is packing her bag for the day. She takes such delight in helping me prepare her lunch and snacks and lovingly packs it all away, and does up all of the zips at the top. The bag then goes on her back (with mummy’s help, of course) and she trots off to put her shoes on and get in the car ready to leave.

These are both so divine, Kristen. Little Charlie boy would have to be the happiest soul ever (at least what I’ve seen of him anyway)- just love him to bits. And Miss Mia is as gorgeous as always too. Isn’t it just the most beautiful thing to watch them giggle and love together.
Love her bag, almost got Ash the same one for daycare!!! As for Charlie boy, seriously how could you be mad when you are greeted with that!
You are KILLING me with your gorgeous photo-a-days!! This crib one of Charlie just takes the cake for me. YOU ARE AMAZING!
Gorgeous pics! Gemma has the exact same Mooo backpack design. Obviously she’s a bit too small to wear hers to daycare yet. But Cooper is just like Mia and loves to wear it proudly on his back!
Gorgeous shot. Isn’t it sweet that they have their own little way of communicating with each other.
love love LOVE that first photo. It is so simple but so beautiful. Who can resist that smile?
Love your words and images. You take the most simple moments and turn them into art. You can see how much you love your kids without even saying a word about them. Also, thank you for bringing sunshine to mine, Dusty & Beau’s day after out visit to the mailbox. Love you K.
