    The sun was out smiling today.
    It was a beautiful day in the garden.
    You proudly helped daddy plant some new trees in the garden.
    (Or, should I say, daddy helped you plant new trees).
    Everything had to be done by you.
    Your sense of responsibility and purpose astounds me to no end.
    And then, when it was time to give the trees a drink,
    Naturally, this task was also yours.
    And Cleo bounced in to join in on the fun too.

    Books are wonderful creatures.
    They excite the mind, harness creativity and grow the spirit.
    As a child, I had great love of books – many of which I have given to my own children to read.
    I am so thankful that they feel the same way.
    Tonight, That’s not my truck… was on the menu.
    As well as giggles.
    Many giggles.
    Miss Mia knows how to make presentation count.

      I am so amazed at your natural light (i.e. flashless) photography. While i understand the daylight pictures, i cannot grasp the after dusk pictures. Even with full frame camera and high ISO. My exposures are so long, that everything is blurred. This is exactly the kind of things that separates pros form the rest of us. Apart from the artistic talent.
      Your work is very inspiring, even to a amateur. Thank you.

      How fitting that you would post a photo of Mia and Charlie reading on the day Will received a very special book in the mail from the Cooks!!!!! He loves it and I love it… it is so, so, so sweet. Books are amazing and I just adore the time I get to spend cuddling Will while we read. I can only imagine how much sweeter it is to see your two babies snuggling each other reading together…. this is SO beautiful! xoxo

    As we rested together and I rubbed your back to comfort you,
    Your breathing slowly started to change.
    Dreams have come back to visit you.
    I type this, quietly, hoping they stay for a bit longer yet…

    She is motherly, determined, and just the right amount of crazy.
    She knows calling me ‘mama‘ (instead of ‘mummy‘) will get her just about anything she wants.
    I lie.
    It gets her everything she wants.

    Tonight’s bath involved scrubbing pen scribbles off your arms, legs, hands.
    It also included scrubbing your drawings off your sister’s arms, legs and hands.
    Note to self: do not leave pens within reach of a two year old.
