Megan + Ian | Wedding photography, Melbourne

The same day Megan and Ian were married, they were also celebrating eight years together. I still remember when I met them for the very first time and they told me they had organised their wedding date to coincide with their anniversary. Beyond romantic (although I’m sure Ian would argue, quite smart too, as there is now only one anniversary date to ever remember and celebrate!)

Everything about this gorgeous wedding made me salivate – from the Charles Rose wedding rings to the Mariana Hardwick couture gown – it was all just so pretty, pretty, pretty.

I arrived to meet up with Ian and the boys to start off with, and was greeted with this fantastic black vintage car sitting in the front garden. I gravitated towards it like it was a magnet and promptly declared I was in photographer heaven. The cars were a very special part of the day for Ian, and so I was more than happy to oblige by including them in their wedding photography.

The day began to heat up (it topped 36 degrees that day…. not that I could complain when the poor boys were in full black suits standing out in that sun too) but you would have never known it the way Megan looked that day. Beautifully radiant and glowing, she could have easily stepped out of a bridal magazine she was that perfect. And you know how you secretly wish that girls that are amazingly beautiful are really mean, just because it would be horribly unfair to be so good looking and so lovely? Well, Megan is that good looking and that lovely. Ian is such a lucky man.

Her gown was nothing short of amazing…

Megan and Ian wanted a wedding that reflected three values – natural, romantic and emotional. I think this image just sums that right up…
