Yep, today is my due date… and I’m surprised I actually made it this far. Some of you may be aware from my Twitter updates that I fell ill last weekend and unfortunately for me, the symptoms are not only hanging around, but getting worse (but thank you to everyone who has offered their well wishes). Who said labour wasn’t fun enough – let’s throw in being sick just for laughs!
I will be sure to update the blog as soon as I am back with the gorgeous new addition to our family, but for now, just an image to mark my Little Miss Mia’s last days as an only child (taken by my lovely husband!)
{…and thank you Melissa for being such a gorgeous inspiration x}

Oh Kristen, this is beautiful….what a gorgeous and special moment captured. I truly understand how you feel right now, in the days leading up to Sephi’s birth I was terribly ill with the WORST flu I’ve ever had in my life and it only got worse the closer it got to her birth. Sephi was born 5 days over and I think my body just wasn’t coping anymore. Since she is my only child I can not say whether it made the birth harder or not….but I don’t remember thinking about the flu at all during the labour, I think something else took over then. You look so beautiful, Mummy in waiting. Can’t wait to hear the news xoxo
Oh you poor thing STILL being sick
Wishing you the best of luck for your labour and lots of healthy vibes to get you ready to meet your new little one. Looking forward to hearing the new. Oh, and I love this image of you and Mia, you’re both truly beautiful xx
Hi Kristen – Great to see you! This is a touching photo and a wonderful moment in time for you both just before it all changes again. Sending you lots of best wishes for the birth and I can’t wait to see the new arrival. xx
You poor thing Kristen! (You can’t tell from this photo though!) I really hope that your baby holds out for a few more days just so you can start to feel better and get some energy back. I am so looking forward to hearing the news. Take care. xx
So sorry to hear you’re still not feeling great.

For the 2 months before and 1 month after having AR I was soooo sick with whooping cough (and petrified I was going to cough her out, LOL), but Penny was right – something does take over when you’re in labour or maybe everything else pales in comparison, hehe. Either way I had delivered her and was well into recovery before I even remembered I was sick.
To cut a long story short – even though I hope you’re much better by the time bub arrives, if not I’m sure you’re body will just take over and do it’s thing.
Can’t wait to hear the great news. Now go and get some rest!!
Oh, K. I am so happy you did it! This is such a beautiful moment captured – seeing Mia smiling and cuddling with you. I just love it! Always your baby – your first baby.
Hang in there. I am so sorry you are still not feeling well. So excited to “meet” the new little sweetie. xoxo
All the best with the new little one. Hope you feel better really really soon.
