Hamish and Zara

One of the things I enjoy most about what I do is the chance to photograph kids in their own environment where they feel happy and relaxed. This can be anywhere – their home, the beach, gardens – but there’s always something different at every session!

I was lucky enough to be invited to photograph the adorable Hamish and Zara on Wednesday in their gorgeous home. We played chasey with the rain for a while not knowing if it would hold off allowing us to get some pics outdoors, but thankfully it did! We played soccer, blew bubbles into the air, tickled each other silly, drank hot chocolate and finished with a story at the end of the session. So much fuuuun!

{Renae, it was a pleasure to meet you and your gorgeous kids – hope they enjoyed themselves as much as I did. Best of luck to Hamish in his soccer career and I hope Zara eventually lets you change her out of her new dress!}

    We thoroughly enjoyed having Kristen come to meet and photograph our children. We were so excited when a couple of images were placed on her site. Not only can the weather be unpredictable, but so too are children. Hamish had a lot of fun. The close up of his face and amazing colours captures him wonderfully, especially the eyes. Now as for Zara…once she woke up, warmed up the wardrobe changes and the camera there was no stopping her. The red coat does look a treat and we are looking forward to see the shots that you took inside in her floral dresses. And..yes, I have to agree that the bubbles that Hamish is blowing look surreal. It was so lovely to have you share some special moments with our kids Kristen.
