Denial is a river in Egypt

My baby is turning one soon.

Well… she’s not really, because I am in complete denial about it – I figure that if I ignore it, it won’t happen, and she’ll stay my baby forever.

It was Ukrainian Easter today – my family brought over some paska (Ukie Easter bread) and a tiny one for Mia (who proceeded to devour the entire thing in about 10 minutes). I would have thought that after her afternoon ‘snack’ she wouldn’t have wanted much dinner. I was wrong. Even after she was done she kept looking at me as if to say “is that it”?!

Some proof she enjoyed herself…

After that we had a bath to clean her off. Of course, there’s no such thing as sitting playing in the bath anymore – now it’s a game of how quickly she can get back up again and try to hop out. Still, we have fun all the same!

The cheeksta

Brushing her teeth like a good girl should!

Why, hello Mr Duckie!

So, if anyone asks – no she’s NOT turning one, she’s NOT growing up, and YES I’m in denial.

What an absolutely precious girl you have there! Whether or not Miss Mia actually turns a year old, she will always be your baby. Hugs, K. xo

Oh she looks like such a little kid now, definitely not a baby anymore! My fav is her belly laugh at you in the bath. So for you denial isn’t just a river in Egypt, it’s a freaking ocean!
