Come and wait
Softly in the shadows
She said
The light is calling
And great things are about to change.

Tiny.
She delicately tickles from the inside.
You smile.
Your hands glide over, back and forth.
Inches from each other, yet still not close enough.
Your yearn to know her face, her heart.
What miraculous circumstances brought her here.
The wonderful anticipation beckons.
She gently rolls, guiding your sweet thoughts with her.
You smile.

So much joy awaits this little one.
So. Much.
Even I am giddy with anticipation.
A love so wanted is so beautiful. Always.

A reminder of love.
A reminder of new life.
Breathe in everything you are, and everything you will be.
This time is a reminder of worth.

Savour the beautiful moments.
Cherish them.
Nuture them.
Stop.
Be Still.
Be Present.
Life is only a blur if you stop focusing.

I arrived in Canada on a Wednesday.
It had been a long trip to get there, but I was completely running on adrenalin that it didn’t seem to matter. I remember coming down the stairs at the airport leading out to the public waiting area seeing Kerianne’s beautiful face smiling at me. I felt so blessed right at that moment to be where I was.
For the next two and a bit weeks I would be lucky enough to share deeply in the lives of this beautiful family. I would watch their final stages of pregnancy, document the anticipated birth and welcoming of an amazing new person and share in the start of his life to come.
The creation of life is tender, beautiful and infused with care.
We connected in the quietness.
This exploration of truth in the moment not only created some beautiful images of some amazing people, but some fond memories for my heart to sing.

It’s a word that gets thrown around a lot with pregnant women…
“Oh, you’re positively glowing!”
“You look amazing! Glowing, even. Pregnancy really suits you!”
“Wow, you have this beautiful glow about you”
I could have honestly said this a million times over to my beautiful maternity client – one of the first things she mentioned to me when we were having a chat was that she adores her pregnancy, but I tell you even if she hadn’t mentioned it to me, it showed the minute she walked through the door. There was no other word for it than glowing. She is going to make such a beautiful mumma.
I am thrilled to be photographing her little baby in around a month’s time from now, so stay tuned for the update to this lovely story.

{Loved every single second of your maternity session M and so super excited to sit down and show you the rest – I adore them.}
