Happy New Year! | Melbourne Children’s Photographer

So… here we are! 2009. Two-thousand-and-nine… can you believe it?

It has been an amazing, incredible and fantastic year, and I want to thank each and every client for trusting me to share in your lives with you. I know that 2009 is only going to be even bigger and better, and I cannot wait for what is in store!

I have decided to take part in a little ‘photo-a-day’ project of my little Miss Mia this January, so every day for a month, I will be taking one photo of her and popping it on the blog. I don’t take nearly as many photos as I would like to of her, and this is my way of being able to showcase her life over a month with little snippets along the way.

So, to start us off, here is today’s photo. Mia, at age 19 months, indulging in one of her favourite activities – playing on our bed with our dog Cleo:

Merry Christmas everyone!

Just a quick note to wish everyone a very, very Merry Christmas today.

I hope that you spent the day happy, full (of food and love) and content. Wishing you all of the joy this holiday season brings.

Thank you to each and every single client I have met with this year – you have brought more joy into my life than I can describe. Thank you for being who you are.

Believe in what is beautiful, think with your heart and run with your dreams.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, first, let me sincerely apologise to every single one of you who couldn’t access my website, blog, email, gallery mages etc. There was a complete disaster with my hosting server, and although it’s all very technical, I’ve been told that it’s one of the worst things that can happen when something crashes. I could not access anything online for the business, including email, so if you tried to contact me in the past week, please send your email again or give me a call as I otherwise would not have received it.

THANKFULLY however, everything should be back up in one piece now and there should be no further issues. My email is back online so you shouldn’t get any further messages bouncing back, nor should you be ‘forbidden’ to access my site.

Phew…. perfect timing too!

As such, I am so far behind with blogging and sneak peeks, I don’t think I will ever catch up! However, I will try and post some of my favourites in the coming days so you do know I wasn’t away holidaying in sunny North Queensland or anything like that! I have been busy, I promise!

Sydney next week

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I will be out of action for most of next week as I will be in Sydney at an amazing workshop experience with Jesh de Rox (you simply must go and visit – it’s not a website, it’s an experience…). I am not sure if I will have internet access at my hotel, but I will certainly be contactable by phone if you need to get a hold of me.

Fate has guided my feet, my heart will follow without question and I am nothing short of inspired by what is to come from it…

The Silly Season | Melbourne Children’s Photographer

Yep, it is.

I am madly scrambling until ungodly hours of the morning trying to get Christmas print orders out and ready to go (yep client, that email you received from me at 1:34am was not a typo). As such I am very VERY behind in my blogging duties but I hope to come back into fully swing shortly. I have had lots and lots of lovely sessions that I haven’t even had a chance to more than glance over so far, but hope to post some sneak peeks soon.

In the mean time (because what’s a post without a photo) – here are some images I’ve been meaning to post for AGES! My little Miss Mia walking!

I’m happy to announce that I have set up a Facebook page for the business which you can join by clicking here!!

It’s a great way to keep informed about what’s going on, view recent image work and show your support!

Also, new 2009 dates now available! My calendar for the first few months of next year has now opened up and you are able to book in for any date in my availability calendar on my website. Please get in quick though as premium dates are sure to go quick, and I would hate for you to wait for ages!!

Out of action for the weekend

2008 – now fully booked out

I will be opening up my calendar for early 2009 hopefully in the next few weeks so if you would like to be notified of the new dates when they become available so you don’t miss you,  please send me an email so that you can be the first to know! :)

Playing tag again!

The gorgeously talented Kris Leigh tagged me in her blog the other day (thanks Kris!) so I get to play another round of blog tag with some new stuff to learn about me:

  1. Ten years ago… I was in my first year uni at the University of Melbourne, and I was living in Port Melbourne. I had met my husband-to-be that year and bought my first car – a red Ford Festiva, which turned out to be the biggest ‘bad luck’ magnet I’ve ever owned. Safe to say that beauty is now in car heaven…
  2. 5 things on my to do list… Proofing, proofing, proofing, proofing and proofing. LOL Alright, well maybe proofing, take some photos of Mia, clean up my study, get my tax stuff together so I can go and see my accountant and reorganise my work calendar.
  3. Snacks I enjoy… this is a hard one for me! I like a lot!! I do have to say though that freshly baked cinnamon doughnuts that are still hot are pretty hard to beat.
  4. If I were a millionaire… I hate this question because I always change my mind. But right NOW, I’d pay off the house, move somewhere with a great natural light studio central to Melbourne (or somewhere where I have space to build one at least), invest some of it (for a rainy day!), book a trip to Canada to visit Kerianne and to the US to see Raye, make a trip to the UK to visit my ever increasing list of friends that all seem to move away from me to there (hmm… it’s a worrying trend!!), upgrade all of my gear, drive an eco-friendly car (I agree Kris!) and get an admin helper so that I can palm all of the boring admin stuff onto them so I can spend more time with my family :) Oh oh… and go on a holiday with my family – somewhere expensive just because I could!
  5. Places I’ve lived… Melbourne and Brisbane
