A quick PSA to let you all know that I will be unable to answer the phone this week as I will be participating in a workshop.
I should be able to check messages during breaks and make phone calls then, so you’re still welcome to leave messages and send emails, it just may take me a little bit longer to reply.
Images not working in the blog properly etc…. I am having issues AGAIN with my hosting company and so I am so sorry to those of you who are trying to see images but can’t (and given this is a photography site it sort of defeats the purpose huh?!)
I am trying as quickly as I possibly can to get this resolved, but it’s seriously like pulling teeth! Will update as soon as it’s fixed everyone!!

Just a quick PSA (public service announcement!) – I will be closing up shop all of next week for a well-deserved break.
If you have an emergency that cannot wait until I return to work (Monday 23 March), please feel free to call me on my mobile. Otherwise I will try and answer any email messages or phone messages from Monday the 23rd.
When I get back I will also have some gorgeous sneak peeks to share with you from this week which I can’t wait for, so have a gorgeous week everyone and I will see you all soon!
I was just looking over some old images as I was doing some good ol’ tidying up (digitally speaking!), and all of a sudden got very nostalgic.
I know I talk a lot about how much I love my job, but sometimes I really don’t think people truly understand just what it means to me. Seriously… I have gorgeous, amazing clients who welcome me into their homes and trust me enough to spend a brief moment in their lives capturing just a glimpse in time of their family.
It’s amazing. It always amazes me.
I still sit here a lot of the time shaking my head not quite understanding how this all came about and how I could be so fortunate to do something that I truly love, and that I’m truly passionate about every single day. Every single person who has come into my life has enriched it in some way – I have learned so many things from everyone that I have had the good fortune in meeting.
And the kids… oh my gosh, the KIDS! I adore them – they teach me more about me than I could ever know myself. They make me realise the good in life, the simple things. It’s the glory of being able to swing from your daddy’s arms and giggle like there’s no tomorrow, or play a cheeky game of hide and seek behind the bedroom door, or roll around in the dirt because you ‘just can’, or sit there absorbing the magic of a storybook that takes you and your imagination for a wonderful ride. From the itty bitty tiny little wrinkles of a days old newborn’s toes, or their flaky skin, or blistered lips, or hairy ears – the beauty, and I do mean the beauty of that little soul still tears me up every time. What a miracle, what an honour – and I get to do it every single day.
I told you…. GRATEFUL.
Oh, and before I forget now is a great time to post this gorgeous clip that I saw on Cas’ blog – another reminder of why I love what I do (and remember – Keep Me, Protect Me, Share Me… don’t keep them locked away in packaging, or a drawer or on the computer!! Share your memories with the world)
So… here we are! 2009. Two-thousand-and-nine… can you believe it?
Today also marks one year since I first started in business. It has been an amazing, incredible and fantastic first year, and I want to thank each and every client for trusting me to share in your lives with you. I know that 2009 is only going to be even bigger and better, and I cannot wait for what is in store!
I have decided to take part in a little ‘photo-a-day’ project of my little Miss Mia this January, so every day for a month, I will be taking one photo of her and popping it on the blog. I don’t take nearly as many photos as I would like to of her, and this is my way of being able to showcase her life over a month with little snippets along the way.
So, to start us off, here is today’s photo. Mia, at age 19 months, indulging in one of her favourite activities – playing on our bed with our dog Cleo:

Ok, first, let me sincerely apologise to every single one of you who couldn’t access my website, blog, email, gallery mages etc. There was a complete disaster with my hosting server, and although it’s all very technical, I’ve been told that it’s one of the worst things that can happen when something crashes. I could not access anything online for the business, including email, so if you tried to contact me in the past week, please send your email again or give me a call as I otherwise would not have received it.
THANKFULLY however, everything should be back up in one piece now and there should be no further issues. My email is back online so you shouldn’t get any further messages bouncing back, nor should you be ‘forbidden’ to access my site.
Phew…. perfect timing too!
As such, I am so far behind with blogging and sneak peeks, I don’t think I will ever catch up! However, I will try and post some of my favourites in the coming days so you do know I wasn’t away holidaying in sunny North Queensland or anything like that! I have been busy, I promise!
Just a quick note to let everyone know that I will be out of action for most of next week as I will be in Sydney at an amazing workshop experience with Jesh de Rox (you simply must go and visit – it’s not a website, it’s an experience…). I am not sure if I will have internet access at my hotel, but I will certainly be contactable by phone if you need to get a hold of me.
Fate has guided my feet, my heart will follow without question and I am nothing short of inspired by what is to come from it…

I am madly scrambling until ungodly hours of the morning trying to get Christmas print orders out and ready to go (yep client, that email you received from me at 1:34am was not a typo). As such I am very VERY behind in my blogging duties but I hope to come back into fully swing shortly. I have had lots and lots of lovely sessions that I haven’t even had a chance to more than glance over so far, but hope to post some sneak peeks soon.
In the mean time (because what’s a post without a photo) – here are some images I’ve been meaning to post for AGES! My little Miss Mia walking!
