A year of newborns – 2009 | Melbourne newborn photography

I feel so incredibly fortunate and blessed to be doing what I do. I know I have said this… a lot… and I mean it. I am so fortunate to have the most amazing clients that put their faith and trust in me to capture beautiful moments in their lives. I am so lucky to spend time getting to know such special people and providing them with memories and art to cherish for years to come.

With every flake of skin, fuzzy ear, wrinkly foot, pouty lip, wispy hair or curled slumber, I am reminded of the beauty of each and every newborn baby. The tiny, the precious, the new – this newness that seems to whisper a tale of what infinite possibilities this little person can achieve in their lifetime. I meet these babes when they are only a few days young and still so fresh and innocent, and it humbles me every single time. It humbles me because days ago, weeks ago, months ago – this little person wasn’t even here yet, and here I am being asked to freeze this perfect moment in time for them to remember and cherish. Their parents loved them but didn’t know how much they would love that flakey skin, fuzzy ear, wrinkly foot…

And so here is just a sprinkling of the clients I’ve had over the course of 2009 – my beautiful newborn babies, with many more exciting miracles to meet in 2010.

Kristen… you are without a doubt Melbourne’s (and I would argue, Australia’s) best newborn photographer. I have been following your work for a while now, and hands down no one even comes close. The raw beauty you show in each and every one of your newborn photographs is to die for. Your clients are so lucky to have you as their photographer – I hope they realise this! I’d better not get pregnant soon otherwise I will have to fly you here and then buy every single thing that you sell!

Kristen, you should be so very proud of yourself! What an amazing year, you are so inspirational. I know that you think you are blessed to be able to share in the joyous occasion of a new little sould, but honey, your clients are the lucky ones, having someone as talented as you capture their little cherubs for them. So very special and so very lucky. I hope you get as much joy out of your photography as you bring to others :)

    Merry Christmas chick

Oh Kristen that was amazing. I feel so proud that my two beautiful babies (ok one 6 days old and one 2 years) made it into your slide show. I’m even more proud to display my maternity and newborn photos all over our house now. Yep – the loungeroom, hallway, Oliver’s room and Amelia’s room. Everything was rearranged to make way for our Kristen photos. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and much love and best wishes to you for 2010.
