Grow | Baby photographer

When I photographed her as a newborn, I knew what a pleasure it would be watching her grow. What joy it would bring into my life seeing her change bit by bit every time we played together. Watching her learn, discover and beautify her life with all there was around her.

Even at birth her eyes were magnetic. That hasn’t changed. She is strong, with such a beautiful soft side truly reflective of the woman she will one day grow in to. She is connected to her surrounding, to love, to security. She adores the temptation of play. She is cheeky, inquisitive and fiercely loyal. She shines and inspires those around her.

Yes, April – watching you grow is a pleasure. I am so happy you are in my life xx

A most precious gift | Baby photographer

“Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing…”
- Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Born New | Newborn photographer

Don’t speak; you may not hear them.
Don’t move; you may not feel them.
Don’t look; you may not find them.
Don’t blink; you may not see them.

They are the true beauty of this earth. The pure, the lovely. The pulse through my veins. Their breath fills the same sweet air as mine.

They are born new, and born perfect.

Good Day | Baby photography

She brought with her a cheeky breath, a whisper of confidence, a genuine smile that connected the soul.
Delicious thighs and chunky arms with filled with so much love reserved for her beautiful mama.
We clapped, we played, we cuddled, we loved – we were happy.

Twinkle | Baby photography

Baby girl, you make me happy and full of light.
I love so many things about you.
The way you scrunch up your nose with glorious joy and the way your eyes twinkle with mischievous wonder.
The deep sense of self you give simply by looking at me, and saying hello.
Your curiosity, your baby ways, your ability to light up the room for your doting parents.
Beautiful girl, you are wonderful.
Thank you for being my friend.

Transformed | Newborn photography

The moment you have in your heart this extraordinary thing called love
and feel the depth, the delight, the ecstasy of it,
you will discover that for you the world is transformed

- Jiddu Krishnamurti

I know, little man, I know for a fact your mama’s world was beautifully transformed because of you. I am so grateful for you.

Reflections of Motherhood | Newborn photographer

To those who are soon-to-be mamas, hoping to become mamas one day, or mamas already… you must watch this. I only wish this had been made before I became a mama ;)

Little One | Newborn photography

Oh little man, your possibilities are infinite and without limits. You are loved and adored in more ways than soft hairs upon your head. From the wispy peach fuzz on your cheeks to the beautiful furrow in your chin as you sleep, your good nature and trust in me made my soul happy. Everybody is so grateful to have you here.

Sometimes we are fortunate enough to experience moments of great love and great worth. You, my tiny friend, allowed me the share both with you.

Thank you xx

Being Honest | Melbourne baby photography

There is an honesty in the eyes of the babies I connect with. A purity. A kind sense of self, of exploration, of curiosity. It’s almost as if every single time they give you that moment they are drinking in everything that surrounds them.

This honesty is a gift. When those eyes see you, and I mean truly see you (not just look at you), the feeling is electric. Palpable. It’s exposing. It might be a wide eyed stare of awe (something this soulful little man was so amazingly meant for) reaching deep into you heart, the beat of which feels like crashing waves on the sand. Or, it could be a giggle, the cautious smile or the big gigantic belly aching laugh from simply letting it all go and being swept up in a moment of sheer joy.

Whatever it is, it comes from the heart. There’s no faking it. That honesty is as tender, considered and important as anything.
