Glowing | Pregnancy photography, Melbourne

It’s a word that gets thrown around a lot with pregnant women…

Oh, you’re positively glowing!”
“You look amazing! Glowing, even. Pregnancy really suits you!”
“Wow, you have this beautiful glow about you”

I could have honestly said this a million times over to my beautiful maternity client – one of the first things she mentioned to me when we were having a chat was that she adores her pregnancy, but I tell you even if she hadn’t mentioned it to me, it showed the minute she walked through the door. There was no other word for it than glowing. She is going to make such a beautiful mumma.

I am thrilled to be photographing her little baby in around a month’s time from now, so stay tuned for the update to this lovely story.

{Loved every single second of your maternity session M and so super excited to sit down and show you the rest – I adore them.}

Mia’s world… iPhone style | Melbourne baby photography

It’s probably no surprise that my little Miss Mia, at two years of age, is obsessed with taking photos. She’s not as fond of being in them as luck would have it, but she does take great joy in capturing her own images.

Of course, that’s all my iPhone is now good for – Mia’s artistic handywork (and just like I probably tortured her with taking photos, she is now doing the same to her baby brother, Charlie. It’s quite cute to watch actually!)

Baby Love | Newborn photographer

Sometimes there is nothing better than a big beautiful hunk of baby chub…every inch of this babe’s rolly goodness was enough to keep me smiling for the rest of the day.

I love… baby chub
I love…itty bitty fingers and toes
I love…big pouty lips and recessed chins
I love… curly, bendy butterball babies
I love… newborns!

{Nicky and Craig, you make beautiful babies! Loved his session so much – and bursting to show you the rest!}

Things that make me happy | Newborn photographer, Melbourne

This smile warms up my soul…isn’t he just the cutest thing ever? This little miracle gave me some of the best smiles I’ve ever gotten out of a newborn in session before, and this smile lasted for ages and ages, I had even put the camera down before he finished. Honestly, I believe if that image doesn’t put a smile on your face, nothing will!

And of course I can’t go without mentioning that amazing mop of black hair on his head. Seriously, this guy will need a haircut in a few weeks – and you should have seen the back of it as well. So much hair!! This little man right here is the reason I love my job so much – so gorgeous he makes me want to cry!

{Had such a ball with Christian today, Kassandra and Nick – loved every inch of him, he was definitely on his best behaviour! You are doing an amazing job raising such a gorgeous little thing. Can’t wait to go through your images with you!}

6 pounds of babe | Newborn photography, Melbourne

… and all six pounds of him were delicious.

The first thing I always do when I have newborn babies in for sessions is have a quick look over their gorgeous features. Gorgeous feature number one for this little man? His liiiiiiiips – man oh man has his kid got some kissable lips! Other edible features include itty bitty baby fuzz, fluffy hair and those gorgeous little smiles he gave us all day – he’s such a special little man (and as the first grandchild for the immediate family, no dout will also be spoiled rotten by everyone – and has already, I’ve been told!)

{Had so, so much fun playing with Nicholas for our session, Abby and Dean - I would have kept going all day if you’d let me! Give him big cuddles from me}

Heigh ho, Heigh ho… | Newborn photographer

… it’s off to work I go!

Yup, I’m a sucker for newborns, and I’m already back to work with some gorgeous freshly baked newborns to photograph (three in fact over the next week!) and darling little 9 day new Isabella was my very first welcome back to work. She was sleepy, she was curly, she was fresh and new… doesn’t get any better than this for me. Never, ever.
