Photo-a-day: Day 16 | Melbourne Child Photographer

Day 16: Mia, where’s your nose? (she loves this game)

Just a quick public service announcement – there won’t be a blog entry tomorrow as I will be at my gorgeous best friend’s wedding in the Yarra Valley this weekend and won’t have internet access (what a blessing!!) so I will catch up on my return.

Stay safe everyone and have a fabulous weekend
xx

Kristen Cook – Weddings | Wedding photographer, Melbourne

Yep, you heard right. I am taking wedding bookings as of 2009!!

This change is one of the first of my big plans for 2009. I am so excited about this too – I have so many gorgeous and wonderful products to share with my clients, it even makes me want to get married again!

Don’t stress – I will still primarily be a portrait photographer as, let’s face it, I’m too much of a big kid to not spend most of my time with other kids, but weddings are now on the menu as well. If you are interested in meeting with me, or know of anyone looking for a wedding photographer, you can always give me a buzz.

Yesterday to start it all off, I had a gorgeous engagement session with Ivy and Matt. They’re getting married in February and so we thought we’d kick off the celebrations with a little mini shoot in the city.

{Ivy and Matt – can’t wait for the wedding in Feb! Hope you guys had fun yesterday afternoon – remember your homework!!}

Photo-a-day: Day 15 | Melbourne child photography

Day 15: Mia turned 20 months old today! Uh oh…. 4 months until she’s two. Can somebody please stop time?!

Photo-a-day: Day 14 | Child photography, Melbourne

Day 14: My Little Miss Mia has the most adorable chunky legs – she always has. She still has little fat rolls around her ankles as well (as you can see) and I can’t get enough of them. Why don’t my leg rolls look as cute and gorgeous like that?!

Photo-a-day: Day 13 | Melbourne Baby Photography

Day 13: Today was a long one. I spent the day at an AIPP event and Mia spent the day with my mum so I barely saw her at all to take any photos of her! When she finally got into bed (just before 10pm) she went straight to sleep. When I went in later to check on her, I couldn’t resist snapping this.

Why Sundays are great | Children’s photography, Melbourne

… because it’s another day of the weekend
… because you can sleep in (sometimes!)
… because cooked breakfasts are much more common
… because family always seems to matter more
… because you can spend a gorgeous day at the beach with THIS adorable family!!!

As much as I adore them all anyway (because they’re friends of mine!!), photographing their little family on the weekend was fun, fun, fun! You may remember this gorgeous little blonde haired beauty from almost exactly this time last year, on my blog. Since then though, we have a devilishly handsome new addition to the family – Master Harry, who by the way, is so completely and utterly adorable I want to eat every last bit of him!

Miss Molly was as gorgeous for me as she always is and if I could have fit her in my pocket and taken her home with me, I would have!

Loved, loved, loved loved, loved (did I say, love??) this session and this family.

{It really isn’t fair on the rest of Melbourne, Australia, the UNIVERSE that you two make such gorgeous children together Shezra. I had an amazing day with all of you, and give your Mols and Haz and giant, enormous bear hug from me xx}

Photo-a-day: Day 12 | Melbourne Baby Photographer

Day 12: She’s a serious one, my poppet. The most shy little thing I have ever, ever met.

Baby Grace | Baby Photographer, Melbourne

Saturday afternoon I got to spend a lovely couple of hours with baby Grace. She was such a little character – who obviously adored her family (and vice versa!).

She put in a great effort at her session, and although we had a few tears when things started to get a little tiring, once she had a tiny nap, she was back to her happy self again!

{Kelly and Joe, it was a pleasure to photograph your baby girl on Saturday. And to Helen and Graeme, the proud grandparents – it was lovely to meet you too! I will be in touch}

A Saturday miracle | Melbourne pregnancy photography

This beautiful session was my first getting back into the swing of things in 2009 after having a short, but very, very well deserved break from shooting over Christmas and the New Year.

I honestly (and I mean it) could not have asked for a more beautiful session than Anessa’s maternity. She was glowing in every sense of the word and it was an absolute pleasure to be in the room with her, and even more of an honour to get to photograph her. Her and Julian will make wonderful parents, and I am so looking forward to meeting their little newborn in the next month!

And this one is just for you, A…

{Anessa, it was so lovely for me to be able to do this for you – I had a wonderful morning with the both of you and I can’t wait to show you the rest of them when they are ready.}

Photo-a-day: Day 11 | Baby Photographer, Melbourne

Day 11: As I’ve mentioned previously during this project, Mia adores being outside. She is also crazy about bath time too (and screams whenever we try and take her out no matter how long she’s been in there) so we combined the two for her this afternoon. She adored it!
