Stella’s sneak peek | Melbourne Baby Photography

There are some kiddies that truly take my breath away the first time I lay eyes on them…. Stella is one such little girl! The moment I walked into her home and saw those gorgeous big eyes and pouty lips of hers I wanted to pick her up and kiss her all over!!

She was so insanely cute. She was also extremely shy and wary of me for a while so we had a good play with each other and even managed to get a small smile or two out of her. Those eyes however… GORGEOUS! I could sit there all day taking photos of those gorgeous stares of her – so, so adorable.

{Vesna, what a treat it was to photograph her for you! I was also thrilled to know there is another ‘new’ soul in the world other than my little Miss Mia so I felt a very strong connection with her!!}

Impressionism | Newborn Photography in Melbourne

I have been so fortunate to have an influx of newborns at the moment, which suits me fine! Of course it does nothing to help my clucky side…!

Meet sweet newborn baby Monet, who could not have suited her little name more perfectly. And to top it off (and this certainly freaked me out!), Claude Monet was born on the same day as her (and her parents only found that out after choosing her name… how cool is that?!!!)

And because I loved that little hand on her toes so much…

{Kylie, thank you for the gorgeous afternoon. I trust she slept well for you after we finished that night!! Give her a big cuddle from me and I will be in touch soon}

Two times the fun! | Kids Photography, Melbourne

I know you probably wouldn’t believe me from these photos, but we actually had to cut our first session short with this family as the kiddies were just not in the mood for photos at all. I was so happy that I could capture some of their cheeky side before it all turned sour, but we made the decision to pack up and try again another day when they were feeling more rested.

Lucky for me it meant that I got to spend time with this gorgeous family, not once, but twice! You also wouldn’t believe me if I said that this gorgeous little man had a horrible year this year with illness – he was so adorable, and so yummy and his little outfit was divine!!

{Bridie, sorry it’s taken a bit to get these sneak peeks for you – busy, busy!! I hope you enjoy them and I  also hope the kidlets had fun and that Meg’s eternal search for the monkey has now ended!!}

One year off thirty

Yep, I turned 29 yesterday…. one year off thirty!!

I had a lovely day – many, many birthday wishes, time with my gorgeous family, some lovely gifts and the weather was just gorgeous. Couldn’t have asked for a better day.

So now…. back to work!!

The Silly Season | Melbourne Children’s Photographer

Yep, it is.

I am madly scrambling until ungodly hours of the morning trying to get Christmas print orders out and ready to go (yep client, that email you received from me at 1:34am was not a typo). As such I am very VERY behind in my blogging duties but I hope to come back into fully swing shortly. I have had lots and lots of lovely sessions that I haven’t even had a chance to more than glance over so far, but hope to post some sneak peeks soon.

In the mean time (because what’s a post without a photo) – here are some images I’ve been meaning to post for AGES! My little Miss Mia walking!

A nice end to the weekend | Newborn photography, Melbourne

What better way to top off the weekend than with a gorgeous little newborn!

Poor little James and his mum had a bit of a rough time after his birth so he was a bit older than I usually photograph my newborns at, but we still managed to get lots and lots of wonderful shots for his parents. This little one was so precious though and such an adorable looking baby – I could have stared at him all day long!!

{I hope he had a wonderful night’s sleep for you Nic!! See, once we got that routine going with him he was out like a light – just needed to find his groove!! LOL Thank you for the fun day!}

Amelie’s Day | Melbourne Baby Photographer

I had a gorgeous weekend just gone with some lovely Melbourne families! On Saturday I got to meet up with little Amelie and her family (she’s a few months older than my little miss Mia) – we spent the morning playing at the park, climbing over play equipment, watering plants, climbing trees, playing with mum and dad – what fun!!

{Martin & Kristy – Amelie was a gorgeous little thing who was such a pleasure to be around!! I hope you all had fun and I will be in touch shortly}

Itty bitty baby Matilda | Melbourne Newborn Photography

I know I always say I love newborns, but I REALLY loved this one!! She was so incredibly gorgeous for me that every time I took a photo I had to stop and look at it just because I could!! Once we got her settled and comfy, she was a perfect little angel and played very nicely with me :)

{Jo it was so wonderful to meet you – thank you for letting me play with her all afternoon. It was really a treat!! And to ‘other’ Kristen – I hope these suffice all of the way on the other side of the world until you get to see her for real in January!!}

Pieces of her… | Child Photographer, Melbourne

*sigh*…

She’s growing up.

She really is. I can’t deny it any more but my baby girl really isn’t much of a baby anymore.

I was sitting there looking at her while she sat on the couch watching Tinker Bell on DVD, with her lips slightly open (which she always does when she’s engrossed in something) and I just wanted to run up and kiss her. Of course, I didn’t, because I knew if I went near her I would not be able to sit there and stare at her and her gorgeous lips. So instead I grabbed the camera out and photographed just one teeny tiny spec of her that I adore.

Of course, I couldn’t stop there so I photographed some of my other favourite pieces of my princess that I adore.

Believe me, these are only a small selection of the many, many things I adore about her and I have way more photos from today than I will ever have time to edit. Today though was a good chance for me to remember that it’s the little simple things like this – the dirty curled up feet, the belly button that used to be a bond to me, the eyes… those eyes…!!…these simple little things are what matter most.

Hug your little ones close tonight
xx
