Little Archie

It’s been about a month since my last newborn session and I was absolutely itching to have one soon, so when I heard the news that lovely Megan had given birth (finally, as she would probably say!) to her little cherub Archie, I couldn’t wait to go around to her place and take some photos of him.

She really wanted some black and white ones to tie in with the style of her maternity session, so as soon as he got all snuggled in and fast asleep we went to work and snapped away!

Archie had me in stitches all day. I don’t think I’ve had one newborn pee and poo on my blankets and rugs as quickly as efficiently as he did. All of my plans went out the window for as soon as we changed over one blanket, he was happy to “christen” it like he had all of the rest. We even ended up raiding Archie’s own stash of blankets when we started to get desperate! Loved him :)

{You probably ended up having just as much washing as I did yesterday Megan! It was so lovely to see you again and to have the opportunity to photograph gorgeous Archie for you. Thanks for having me do so!}

Welcome Spring!!

First day of a new month and a new season. I am very much looking forward to the weather warming up so that outdoor sessions can be a little bit nicer to sit through than they are right now!! Whilst the rain for drought purposes has been wonderful, I’m getting a bit sick of thinking the days will turn out ok for a session only to find it raining as soon as I jump in the car on my way somewhere!

I must admit though, I am a Winter girl at heart – I swelter in hot weather, I don’t cope well. So, word of warning… if you’re a Summer client, crank your air conditioning up full blast if it’s a hot day! I’ll need it!! :)
